Calf Creek Texas History

Calf Creek is a small community located in southern McCulloch County, Texas on
Farm Road 1311 approximately 15 miles Southwest of Brady, Texas.

Calf Creek was settled by Edward E. Deland in 1874 and Delands have continuously owned and frequently occupied land at Calf Creek since that time. Calf Creek was once a thriving community, but all that remains today is the Calf Creek Cemetery and the spirits of a handful of people who are determined to keep the history and memories of Calf Creek alive.

The Calf Creek Cemetery Association is a group that works very hard to not only maintain and preserve the Calf Creek Cemetery, but Calf Creek history as well.
